In 1974, Country Bakery was founded. “This little bakery”began with Manfred & Meta Gros and provided an unforgettable legacy to his son, Marvin, and daughter-in-law, Heidrun, who have carefully preserved his tradition of excellence and his treasured recipes. Heidrun learned from her father-in-law the Swiss-trained pastry chef, using only the best quality products. For over 40 years their customers have been enjoying the best breads, buns, donuts, cakes, pastries, and chocolates. Marvin and Heidrun retired from the bakery at the end of 2022, but Heidrun has continued to offer personalized handcrafted Easter bunnies and handcrafted chocolates to the Okanagan area. In 2024, we decided to revamp our logo to include House of Chocolate. Inspired by the house at the end of Deep Creek and seeing as our products are hand crafted in the Deep Creek Valley - it only seemed fitting. We are proud of what we have created, with love for your family to enjoy.
